Well weatherwise the weekend was more like Autumn than summer, but in spite of that the summer events were in full swing – we at Phoenix were involved with no less than 3 events around Brentwood at the weekend.
Anyway as the working week starts the weather inevitably improves but as per usual on a Monday to cheer you up, we really belted out the music. We also looked back at a couple of the events that took place on Saturday by playing out a couple of interviews recorded at the weekend. We also continued our review of the Creative Sessions recorded at the Brentwood Centre in April. The featured band today was TENEK from whom we heard ANOTHER DAY and BLINDED BY YOU.
To put a smile on your face we also took a look at a couple of stories you might have missed.
First off was the story of potty training with a difference by the weed puffing mums of California out to prove to their kids pot is good for you! They clearly know how to bring up their kids to be pillars of society there. Well I guess they will all aim for “high” positions when they grow up!
Also from the other side of the pond came news of two women who quite rightly realised that having got totally plastered they were in no fit state to drive home. The simple solution they agreed was to get the grandson of one of the women to take the wheel. Strangely they did not consider that this was anything other than the most responsible course of action even though the grandson was only 10 years old! This all came to light after police stopped the vehicle which somewhat unsurprisingly the boy had some difficulty in adequately controlling. And we wonder why everything is going wrong in the world.
Well see you tomorrow for some more fun – and the welcome return of Frances Clamp.
