Over 50,000 local people lined the streets of Brentwood and Herongate today to witness a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see the Olympic Torch run through their towns.
Phoenix FM was on hand to provide musical entertainment on the Town Hall lawn and eat as many of the million cupcakes on offer as possible.
We spoke to Cllr Mark Reed about the great turnout and the organisation that went into it, and to Eric Pickles MP about what it meant for Brentwood.
