Who would be the ultimate super girl group and who is going to the the Super Star?!

Change in Superstar!
Last week it was reported that ex Pussy Cat Doll, Nicole Sherzinger was going to play the role of Mary Magdalene in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical Jesus Christ Superstar. However this week it has been said that this is ‘not accurate’ and that ex Spice Girl, Sporty Spice aka Mel C will take the role.

The production, which is based very loosely on the Gospel’s account of the last week of Jesus’ life, will take place at the London 02 arena and also see Chris Moyles play King Herod.

The lead part of Jesus is of course, as I mentioned last week, will be found during a TV programme called Superstar with judges of Mel C, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Jason Donavan and Dawn French. Amanda Holden also hosts the show and that will be coming to our TV screens very soon.

Super Group!
If you could create a girl band out of any female artists who would your line up be?

It’s a tough question and you may not have thought about it before but one member of the Saturdays, Rochelle, has done.

She reveals who she would have in her dream band by saying “I’d definitely put Beyoncé in there. Erm… Oh – and Shakira. Rihanna has to be in it. I really like Rita Ora at the minute so I’d stick her in too.”

And when she was asked if she would also like to be a member in the group she added: “Yeah I’d go in, maybe just for a little bit as something on the side!”

Meat Dress
It is well known that Lady Gaga has a wild sense of fashion and how could the meat dress she wore at the 2010 MTV VMA’s be forgotten? Well she is currently on a world tour called ‘The Born this way Ball’ and it seems like she has had a replica made for her show.  It isn’t real meat however it does look quite effective. She wears it while performing her song ‘Americano’ during her recent concert with carcasses of meat hang around her on the stage.

She has also been a bit poorly during the tour as the routines and energy required for the shows are demanding but she is soldering on!

The born this way Ball will come to the UK on the 8th of September.

Diana Vickers
Semi finalists of 2008’s X Factor Diana Vickers has tweeted about her excitement of supporting fellow X factor contestant and local star Olly Murrs on his tour. She tweeted “This summer I’m going to be the main support for @ollyofficial on his summer shows. Big thanks to Olly for having me. So looking forward to it,”

She will start of at Scarborough’s Open Air Theatre on July 15, before moving on to Edinburgh Castle on July 2. Follwoing on from there on the 29th July she will be in Kent and then have her last show in Middlesex on August the 17th.

Vickers last album was out in 2010 and called ‘Songs from the Tainted Cherry Tree’ and she is currently working hard on her second album called ‘Music to Make the Boys Cry’

So do keep a look out for that.
