I was delighted that our regular listeners were able to join me for the earlier time. Nice to hear in the chatroom for the first time Alison in Australia. With listners in Ireland and California we were a mixed bunch tonight, not forgetting Ingatestone, Harlow and Reading on the web and Liegh on Sea and Brentwood, Billericay and Ingatestone on 98FM. Terry chose the Circle of Life for her Desert Island Disc. Guilty pleasures, those tracks we wish we had not bought when we were younger, were Barbie Girl by Aqua and Hole in the Ground by Bernard Cribbins, which I was reminded was bought for me! We had requests for Coldplay, Fleetwood Mac, U2 and Adele. We also heard tracks by Sergio Mendes, Alison Kruass, Lady Antebellum, Booker T. Jones, Sadie and Amen Corner. News stories included the cheapest house in the county which led to chat room discussions about decorating sheds. And we heard about a stolen parrot that sings Bohemian Rhapsody. Nightmare.
Join me next week for a special Good Friday Evening Extra with guests Tim Lee, Charlie Kosler, Jes Salt and the Bishop of Chelmsford, Rt. Revd. Stephen Cottrell. Should be interesting! Make a date with your radio.
