FIVE CANDLES ON MY LUNCH TIME CAKE

I had the pleasure of sitting in for Michelle Ward on the 5th Birthday Edition of EAT MY LUNCH today. Being the station’s fith birthday we played a number of songs that made it to number 1 in the year of our launch – 2007 including one from The Proclaimers – I’m Gonna Be 500 miles which was number 1 the week we actually launched the station. Also played were songs by Rihanna ft. JayZ (Umbrella) and McFly (Baby’s Coming Back).

We also looked at a few of the quirkier stories around including one about a council planning to DNA test dog poo, a cat standing for election to the US Senate and four businessmen who parachuted from a 55th storey bar in Melbourne to avoid paying the bill for a number of drinks priced at £14 a throw. Police say that if they’re caught they will be for the high jump.

Well that’s all for today. Michelle will be back on Monday, meanwhile I’m off to swill down copious quantities of alcohol at the  Phoenix FM Birthday bash.

All the best,

Scott
