Duff Beer
Popular US family The Simpsons will be showing their 500th episode in the UK later this year and to celebrate they are also bringing Homers favourite drink, Duff Beer to the UK.
It has already been enjoyed all over Europe and will soon be available to in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. The Legendary Duff Beer company who produce the beer have kept it’s famous slogan from the cartoon, “Can’t get enough of that wonderful Duff” and they have described the drink as “A premium German pilsner that poses a crisp, light refreshing taste along with iconic packaging.

“The product has certainly fulfilled its namesake in becoming a modern day legend, developing a cult following across the world.”

Inspiring Dreams
Whenever bands come in for interviews one of the questions I always ask is where to they get inspiration from when writing songs. Well this week one very well known song writer Willi.I.Am from the Black eyed peas has revealed that he gets ideas from his dreams as he has explained saying “I’ve written songs right from a sleep. Have you ever had a dream where there’s a melody in your dream? I’ll wake up out of my sleep and record that!”
He used the example of his bands popular song “‘I Gotta Feeling’ as he said it ‘was one of those songs. From a random mumble, listening to conversations in the back and making sense of melodies.”

The Beatles’ song ‘Yesterday’ was also created by Sir Paul McCartney while he was sleeping.
Oh My Goodness!
Essex singer Olly Murs has recently released his third album called In Case You Didn’t Know and this week the music video to go along with his latest single ‘Oh My Goodness’ is available to watch on youtube and there is also a behind the scenes video too.
The plot of the video is that Olly locks eyes with a pretty girl that he likes the look of while going up an escalator so he decides to run all over Westfield, which is the shopping centre in Stratford, to try and find her to give her his number.
But it was a bit of a work out for him as he explained saying “At the time when I saw the script I thought it was a really good concept – me running after a girl and there will be some really cool shots and slo-mo’s,”

“But actually, being here, it’s really tough. My feet are killing me, I think I’ve pulled a few muscles and I’m sweating!”

‘Oh My Goodness’ will be officially released on April 1st.

One Direction
The Spice Girls were of course a big part of Britain when they were together and they even managed to crack America with their debut single ‘Wannabe’ in 1997 when it was number 11 on the Hot 100.
However a recent english boyband have also managed to get into the Hot 100 and has reached number 28 making them the highest from a UK pop group in the last 15 years.

That boyband is of course X Factor’s One direction. They have lots of screaming girl fans here in the UK and by the result of their debut single ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ entering the charts seems like they may have some American fans too.

One Direction sold 132,000 downloads of ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ over the past week and landed at number 12 on the Digital Songs chart.

They are also releasing their debut album ‘Up All Night’ in the US on March 13.
