Roy spoke about the fact that anyone regardless of age can have a stroke and the devastating effects on the individual and also their family. He talked about prevention to try and lower the figure from the existing statistic that 1 in 6 people will have a stroke in their lifetime. He told us how to recognise symptoms and ways to help. He talked about the work of the Stoke Association, the local groups and ways that funds can be raised. His key message was There is life after Stoke.
