Love, Breaks Up’s and Moving On!

As it is Valentines this weekend the theme of tonight’s show was luuurve! But I didn’t play just the lovey dovey songs but the heartbreaking break up songs along with the strong and powerful moving on songs! There was something for everyone to connect with and a few dance tunes to give out That Friday Feeling!

Taylor’s Tweets

Fitting in with tonight’s theme Taylor Swift has been giving out some break up advice after a fan tweeted to her telling her about her boyfriend who had just broken up with her after 4 months. On top of that he was also emotionally abusing her by calling her names which left her feeling ‘crumbled’.

In response Swift wrote in various different comments: “He just ended it, just like that? It’s so devastating to come to terms with speaking of someone in the past tense when you used to see them as your present and your future. But think about what he said”.

“It will take a while for you to get those words out of your head. Heartbreak is awful enough. The fact that you have to endure this kind of emotional abuse is so wrong”.

“I know it’s hard but I think it’s time to utilise the ‘block’ feature on your phone. This is just damaging. Do you have to see him around?”

“So don’t give him the chance to say more damaging things. There is nothing wrong with avoiding people who hurt you. You fell in love, no games. Now you’re saying goodbye, with no games.

“Protect yourself, please. I’m so sorry this happened. I made you a break up/ moving on playlist: Stay Away – Charli XCX, Not Around – Montgomery Wings – HEARTS – Coffins Misterwives Sleep – Azure Ray Begin Again – Measure.”

The fan showed her gratitude by thanking Swift for the playlist and “For being the reason [she] was able to get through today and sleep last night.” She told Swift that she is “such a wonderful human being and [has] have made [her] so happy”.
