Jubilee
It is of course the Queens the Diamond Jubilee this weekend and on Monday there is going be to a special concert which has been organised by Take That’s lead singer, Gary Barlow. Acts confirmed to perform are Sir Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Kylie Minogue, Sir Paul McCartney, Jessie J, Robbie Williams and Ed Sheeran.

But it has also been said that Gary may be doing a duet with Cheryl Cole. An insider has said that ‘no one is supposed to know that Cheryl will be performing so exactly what she is doing and singing is top secret. [but] she is excited and loves working with the royal family, so she can’t wait to perform’.

After every one has performed the Queen will conclude the concert by lighting the National Beacon, the last in a network of over 4,000 lamps across the UK to celebrate the Jubilee.
The Diamond Jubilee Concert will be on BBC1 from 7.30 to 10.45pm.

Single or relationship?
Rihanna has spoken out this week about how she wants to be in a serious relationship within five years however she has said “how far [she] go[es] with [her] career is God’s plan. [she’s] just following through [her] destiny.”

On the other hand fellow singer Alisha Dixon doesn’t think she needs a man and has said how happy she is being single because she can have a “spontaneous lifestyle. And [a] lie-in,”. She is always “the butt of the single jokes” on Britain’s Got Talent, mainly by co star and head judge Simon Cowell. However when her friends call her weird for this, her advice to them is  ‘You don’t need a man, you need a hobby. You’re just bored. Go and get a box set. Get over it’.”

Avengers in Space
It seem that producers of the very popular recent film The Avengers does not want anyone to miss out on seeing the super hero movie, even if they are not on this planet.

This includes the astronauts who are on board the International Space Station 220 miles above the Earth. There will be a special screening of the Marvel film thanks to the relationship Marvel Studios has with parent company Disney and NASA. This also means that Disney often uses Plum Brook Station which is in Ohio, to film scenes for its movies.

Marvel Studios co-president gave “A special thanks goes to NASA for utilising their incredible technology to make this special screening miles above us in space happen. [and said] It is a screening that would make Tony Stark envious.”

Spice Fight
Things have got a bit spicy this week between Geri Halliwell and Mel B. This is because of their guest judge roles on the X Factor.  A number of artists are stepping in to replace Kelly Roland such as Leona Lewis, Rita Ora and Nicole Scherzinger
However it was tipped for Geri to become a permanent replacement for Kelly, after she judges at the Liverpool auditions but it seems like she didn’t make a good enough impression because of lack of chemistry with the other judges, who are of course Gary Barlow, Tulisa and Louis Walsh.

Therefore producers are still looking for someone to take Kelly’s place and someone who is a possibility is fellow spice girl Mel B, who will be a gust judge in Manchester. A source has said that “Geri feels it is disloyal of Mel B. But Mel has always done what is best for Mel, and that’s why her relationship with the rest of the band is so frosty.”

However it has also been said that it is unlikely Mel B will join The X Factor due to her role on the Australian version of the show.
So Geri has nothing to worry about.

Sheeran becoming Swift in the US
Ed Sheeran is very popular in the UK at the moment and he has been getting involved with the US as well after writing songs for One Directions album entitled Up All Night and it seems like he is going to be working with the US a bit more has it has been rumoured he is going to do a collaboration with Country singer Taylor Swift. A source has said that Taylor is “into her British music and became a massive fan of Ed before asking to work with him recently. There is a mutual affection between the pair.” “It’s still to be officially decided how the material will be released but just a single credit on her album will be worth big money.”

Ed has been in a studio in LA with Taylor over the past few weeks so keep a look out to see what they come up with.
