Last Forever Sunday

This was my last show for a while as I am heading off to New Zealand to travel.

Played tonight:

Maverick Sabre- No One
The Maccabees- Pelican
Mull Historical Society- City Lights
The Futureheads- Heatbeat Song
Black Lips- New Direction
The Vaccines- Wetsuit
Plan B- She Said
Ellie Goulding- The Writer
Frank Turner- The Road
The Ting Tings- Hang It Up
Arctic Monkeys- I bet you look good on the dance floor
Jack Johnson- Breakdown
Bombay Bicycle Club- Leave It

The clues to this weeks guess the lyric were:
The song is from the album ‘Final Straw’, the band headlined at V festival when Oasis pulled out and Leona Lewis has covered this song.
The answer was: Snow Patrol- Run

In this weeks ‘You heard it here second’ I looked at Scott Ross’ show Bygones. On his show he had local author Frances Clamp in to discuss the history of the Brentwood Ursuline School. The school is an all girls school, founded in the 1900’s, which used to be run by nuns. So I thought that The Eurythmics and Aretha Franklin- Sisters are doing it for themselves, would be a good song to end this feature.

As it is my last show, I chose S Club 7, Say Goodbye as this weeks cheesy song.

Keep listening to Phoenix FM, I off to the other side of the world, bye!
