Red or Black?
4 millionaires have been made this week thanks to Simon Cowell’s new game show Red or Black? The game is all about luck, and picking one of the two colours.
On the first night brick layer Nathan Hageman become the first millionaire, however it was later revealed he had served a five and a half year sentence for an attack he had made on his ex-girlfriend.
ITV has said they were aware of the jail term but didn’t know the victim was female.
After all this, checks are made on all the contestants taking part in the show and because of these checks some contestants have been withdrawn from some episodes.
A spokesperson from ITV has said “ITV has reviewed the background checks on remaining contestants from Red or Black?“.
“As a result of this we have asked producers to remove two contestants from this week’s shows. Red or Black? will continue on these two occasions with seven, rather than eight, contestants.
“Red or Black? is a co-production between ITV Studios and Syco for ITV Network and all parties are working closely and collaboratively together to ensure that the show continues its success.”
Girly holiday
Last week I mentioned Cheryl Cole will be making a cameo appearance in a film called ‘What to Expect when your expecting’ which also features Cameron Diaz and it has now been said they are going to go on holiday together.
Reports have said that Cameron wants to be best friends with Cheryl, and her dreams seem to be coming true, they seem to be bonding over Cheryl’s sense of humour as a source has said “Cheryl has a dirty sense of humour and Cameron found her funny.”
“They’ve been planning a girly weekend if they can find a spot in their diaries.”
So I wonder where they will jet off to, and whether indeed they will be having their own private plane? It’s likely they will, being the big stars they are.
Buble’s Christmas album
Even though shops have started selling Christmas cards already, it’s a bit early to be thinking about Christmas. However for artists, now is the best time to start getting prepared to make and release Christmas singles or albums.
One singer who has Christmas plans is Michael Bublé. He hasn’t had an album out since 2009 which was called ‘Crazy Love’ but in October his next, and first ever Christmas album will be out.
It will feature songs such as Bing Crosby’s ‘White Christmas’, which will be a duet with Shania Twain.
He has been recording over the summer months, which he found strange, Michael explains saying “We decorated the studio with Christmas lights in the middle of July and that was a big help.”
Setting an Example
Rapper Example, seems to have a bit of negative view about certain fellow chart act.
He has spoke about Will Young’s new single ‘Jealousy’ saying “He’s had his moment, hasn’t he? That song’s awful. That song should be on Songs of Praise. It’s awful.”
He added: “And Will Young has had his moment, he was good, he was one of the only credible people to come off that show, what was it called, Popstars?”
However he did have something positive to say about 3 piece band N-Dubz. He said “Dappy is an incredible songwriter,” “I think N-Dubz are a bit marmite for some people. I think [Dappy’s] great, his melodies are superb.
“There aren’t many young pop acts who write their own stuff and N-Dubz genuinely do write and produce their own stuff which I think gives them integrity.”
Example released his new album ‘Playing in The Shadows’ this week and his song ‘Stay Away’ is in the charts as is Will’s new single Examples outburst of negativity over the song could be caused by a bit of Jealousy maybe?
