Phoenix FM were in the shadow of the Chapel Ruins today to provide sound and to entertain the crowds with some of the diverse acts who will be playing at this year’s Festival.

The cast of Paper Planes performed a few numbers from their original World War 1-themed play. You can see it at the Queen’s Theatre from 30 July to 2 August.

The Howard Wallace Chorale sang a few songs from their repertoire, including this Lennon and McCartney classic.

L’Harmonie du Val de l’Indre are an orchestra from Brentwood’s twin town of Montbazon in central France. They performed two sets of songs. If you’re quick, you can get to see them at the Ursuline School tomorrow evening (Sunday).

(and it was good to get a round of applause every time I said their name).

Also performing today were four young ladies from Tetra, who are part of the Brentwood Junior String Orchestra, one of the junior orchestras from the Brentwood Orchestra for Young Musicians.
