Dagenham & Redbridge found themselves with a man advantage for the final half-hour of their National League game at home to Yeovil Town.
With the score at 0-0, the Glovers had Luke Wilkinson sent off in the 60th minute after referee Daniel Middleton adjudged him to have pulled back Dagenham’s Darren McQueen, who was the last man.
But Yeovil held on for a point, and the result leaves the Daggers 19th in the table after a difficult start to 2020/21, with four points from their first five games.
In the National League South pressure is mounting on Billericay Town manager Jamie O’Hara, whose side have now begun their season with three straight defeats.
Josh Hutchinson put Town ahead in the 41st minute of their match against Havant & Waterlooville at New Lodge, after Paul Konchesky set him up with a cross.
But Sam Magri equalised for the Hampshire outfit 12 minutes from the end, then Tommy Wright clinched all three points for them in injury time.
Ricay are in 20th place on goal difference above the two other sides to have lost all three of their opening fixtures, Hemel Hempstead Town and Braintree Town.
The Iron are still propping up the table and have yet to even score a league goal this season, after crashing to a 4-0 defeat at home to early league leaders Dorking Wanderers.
The Surrey side grabbed the lead through Wes Fogden just before half-time, and after the break James McShane (2) and Jimmy Muitt completed a comprehensive win for them.
Chelmsford City picked up their second point of the campaign as they drew 1-1 away to Eastbourne Borough.
Former Claret Chris Whelpdale opened the scoring for the hosts, heading the ball home after 32 minutes.
But six minutes later, recent signing Adam Morgan volleyed the ball into the net to earn Robbie Simpson’s side a share of the spoils.
Meanwhile Concord Rangers slipped to a 1-0 defeat away to Hungerford Town – currently in second place – with Ryan Seager’s long-range effort after 18 minutes ultimately proving enough to give the hosts all three points and maintain their 100% league record.
The game finished very late, owing to a serious collision between Concord’s Ryan Scott and Ryan Tooze of Hungerford.
There was a lengthy delay for treatment to be given to Tooze, but afterwards he was sent off when the referee showed him a second yellow card.
