I know I feature Blur a lot on the show (or I feel like I do) but it there was exciting news this week with the announcement that the band will be playing two dates at Wembley Stadium in July. I haven’t been to a gig at Wembley Stadium since Genesis in 1987 (!) and even though I got tickets about 60,000 people back I’m still looking forward to it. Blur last appeared live in 2019 when they made a surprise appearance at an Africa Express event in Leytonstone and played three songs – before that they haven’t toured since 2015 when their last album, The Magic Whip, was released.

Blur, Winter Gardens, Margate – 1 August 2012
