Resurrection

Last week we visited the Urdd, Wales’ largest national youth organisation for young people aged 8 to 25. Tens of thousands of people visit to take part in competitions and enjoy the music and arts on offer.
It takes place in a different location each year, and I went over to Mathrafal farm in Meiford, in the beautiful mid-Wales countryside in Powys (or Montgomeryshire, depending on your age).
The last two days of the week-long festivities include the Triban Festival, where a number of Welsh acts play a big tent in a field … ah, it’s been a while! I was there on the Friday to catch a number of bands, including HMS Morris, Cardiff art-rockers who are no strangers to this show.
And … I chatted to Heledd, Sam, Billy and Iestyn afterwards about the band and their plans for the future. You can hear the interview above, towards the end of the first hour. Lovely guys – and definitely looking forward to what’s next in store from the band!
