Intrepid trio pop in to tell all about their exciting Viking Fight Musical

Paul Golder writes for the Brentwood Gazette

This week we said “Heil og sæl” to new our Viking friends Nathan Rees, Marcus Wood and Vicky Clubb.

They visited Claire Gevaux and Natalie Bays on our Sunday afternoon Arts Programme to tell us all about their new musical “Blóðlína” which is on its way to Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Blóðlína is a Viking Fight Musical which incorporates stage combat with music live on stage, which we definitely think is a unique and exciting concept.

Nathan is a writer from Westcliff-on-Sea and, along with fellow Essex residents Marcus and Vicky, has been promoting Blóðlína within Essex before it goes off to Edinburgh.

It also gave us an opportunity to play out a fun Nordic playlist including the likes of Håkan Hellström, Daði Freyr and Sigur Ros.

You can hear the interview again at phoenixfm.com and also check out Blóðlína – A Viking Fight Musical, at https://www.facebook.com/BlodlinaMusical

* I’m currently walking from Land’s End to John O’Groats in aid of Saint Francis Hospice! I’m just about coming up to the end of my fifth week, having walked over 430 miles from Land’s End, and as you read this I’m working my way through Lancashire.
