Jerry Impini releases his Anomaly Anthology

Dallas musician Jerry Impini has released a brand new album “Anomaly Anthology” with a lead single “Beauty Queen” currently getting lots of play on Phoenix FM.

Jerry talked to us about the meaning behind some of the songs on the album:

I was around 17 when I wrote Beauty Queen. It was written about the most beautiful girl I’d ever seen at school where I was scheduled to take an exam. I fell madly in love with her. She was a Brooklyn girl, I was from Queens, and we hit it off right away.  Good Time Woman was written about not wanting a serious relationship as a travelling on the road pianist after coming out of a divorce (thankfully still in one piece, lol).

Covid-19, God, and The Devil is written about what I believe God and The Devil would say to one another about Covid if they were both sitting across from one another at the table with our voices (humanity) interjecting as the bridge of the song with “so unfair, troubled by you. Should’ve been kept away. God knows it’s true”.

Been Bad For Me Extended is about being in love with someone who doesn’t love you back and I’ll just leave it at that. New Life and New Life Through Harmony is about moving on to a better place in one’s life. “Got A New Life That’s Filled With Your Love and Affection” which is a part of the chorus to the song is really about audiences I perform for that love what I do and how the music makes them feel. That pretty much sums it all up in “Anomaly Anthology” and what this new album release is all about.

The album also includes a new version of “Been Bad For Me”, a track which peaked at #10 in the iTunes Top 100 in the UK verified through https://soundcharts.com was featured on page 6 of issue 122 in Pianist Magazine and is also now available at select bookstores and newstands in the UK and at Barnes and Noble Bookstores nationwide in the U.S.A.

Other tracks on the album include Good Time Woman, Covid-19, God, and The Devil and New Life & New Life Through Harmony.

“Anomaly Anthology” is available right now exclusively at BandCamp at jerryimpini.bandcamp.com/album/anomaly-anthology.
