Ahead of Tuesday’s Drive I caught up with folk/punk superstar Frank Turner! I last saw Frank for a chat backstage at Southend Cliffs Pavilion during his Lost Evenings Tour a few days before Covid brought the tour to a halt. This time the Wessex boy turned Essex boy zoomed in for a catch up about his latest releases and his new album FTHC, his live shows and restarting the Never Ending Tour of Everywhere from January 2022! We covered his relocation to Essex, recording from his home studio, how FTHC became a more confessional, autobiographical album and writing with “the wince” from his own experience of mental health and anxiety plus why he’s hungrier than ever to blast people away with live music!
Click here to listen from 3pm on Tuesday 16th November on Phoenix FM or click play below to hear the full, uninterrupted interview now.
