So how do you fancy trying to eat the UK’s biggest English Breakfast?
The £50 feast nicknamed the TERMINATOR ARMAGEDDON is offered at SHEPHERD’S PLACE FARM in Doncaster and consists of 150 items, including 15 jumbo Lincolnshire sausages (the equivalent to 30 regular sausages), 15 rashers of bacon, 15 hash browns, 15 fried eggs, 15 slices of black pudding, 15 slices of toast and fried bread with butter, 15 portions of mushrooms, 15 portions of baked beans and 15 portions of tinned tomatoes.
And if you can eat it within a time limit you’ll even get your money back!
Owner of the establishment, TED PHILLIPS says, “We’re renowned for our breakfasts and are proud to now be the home of the largest breakfast in the UK. They’re so popular with our customers and we’ve had people travel from all over the country to give our breakfast challenges a go, so I look forward to welcoming even more people to try out the new Terminator Armageddon challenge which is absolutely massive and weighing between 15 and 20 lbs it’s even hard for me to carry the tray over to the table.”
But if that doesn’t take your fancy you could always take a peep at THE HUNGRY HORSE who, starting daily at 9am, are offering a “buy one, get one free” for a breakfast fry-up for as little as £3.29 or £1.65 for 2.
Frankly that big breakfast in Doncaster strikes me as slightly immoral!
Anyway later in today’s programme it was time to go back in time, and for a second consecutive week, Margaret Mills turned her attention over to a member of the Pankhurst family, who were all deeply involved with the suffragette movement.
It was again Sylvia Pankhurst, and her activities that were in Margaret’s sights.
Listen here to what Margaret said this week: –
See you again next week,
