The Players Lounge in Billericay is using the current lockdown to plan some exciting events ready for when they can open again, with some big changes promised.

One of the events planned is a free weekend dedicated to our local NHS and Key Workers.

This is planned for November and The Players Lounge will shortly begin to confirm some big names and guests who are all as appreciative to our NHS as we all are during these times, and want to give just a little something for them to look forward to.

As part of this, The Players Lounge has joined The Big Quiz at The Covid Arms on Friday 1 May, hosted by “landlady” Kiri Pritchard-Mclean and her host of celebrity guests – Russell Howard, Nish Kumar, Jon Richardson, Joel Dommett, Marcus Brigstocke, Rachel Parris, Lucy Beaumont, Jenny Ryan, Joe Wilkinson, Richard Osman, Rachel Fairburn, Mark Watson, Stephen Bailey and Suzi Ruffel, for a night in at the world’s largest virtual pub.

25% of all pledges goes to The National Emergencies Trust Coronavirus Appeal and the venue retains 75%, but The Players Lounge has pledged 100% of our income to our NHS weekend to kick things off.

Tickets start at just £5 for a place in the audience (unlimited) £15 for a front row seat (and a chance to virtually meet the stars if chosen from the audience) or pledge £100 and receive £100 worth of Beavertown Neck Oil, delivered directly to your door, plus a ticket!
