Hardened criminals facing a stiff sentence

On today’s show we heard that police are looking for a gang of hardened criminals after £1m worth of sex toys was stolen from the back of a vehicle.

The assortment of goods destined for Rocks-Off Ltd in Northamptonshire, was stolen from a lay-by while the driver slept.

Police want to hear from anyone who might have witnessed the theft which took place between 1am and 6:30am on Wednesday 16th September from a lay-by on the A43 between the A14 and Broughton village.

If convicted the thieves can expect to face a stiff sentence of up to 7 years.

Margaret Mills was back with me in the second hour to look at the life and times of a renowned clergyman from Ongar.

A pupil of Rugby school, he is reputed to have been the first boy to have ever picked up and run with ball, thereby creating the game of Rugby.

You can listen again here to what Margaret had to say about this man: –

I’ll see you again next week,
Scott
