Well it might have been a “Maximum Music Monday” but we still had time to report on a couple of incidents involving domestic animals.
We started with news about an itinerant cat.
Can you imagine the embarrassment of being hauled off by airport security to be questioned about your hand luggage?
Well this is precisely what happened to a couple from the Isle of Man at Manchester Ringway Airport from where they were hoping to board a flight to New York.
But when their bag went through the scanner security staff noted something unusual and promptly called the couple into a side room for questioning.
It turns out that the couple’s cat, CANDY had unknowingly to them, stowed away in the bag.
In the end airport staff arranged for the couple to call friends who came to collect Candy and take her home, so that they could continue on their way to the Big Apple.
In the second hour it was the turn of a dog to feature, as a lady called Jade was dog sitting for her mother and whilst playing with her charge, a French bulldog, she noticed something seriously amiss – basically she became convinced that his nose had fallen off and was lying on the floor.
Terrified to look too closely at the dog, she picked him up and removed him from the room to better look at his now detached nose on the floor.
Panic stricken Jade wondering how she was going to explain to her mother that whilst in her care, her dog’s nose had somehow fallen off, finally plucked up courage to scoop the nose up from the floor – only to discover that the dog had actually bitten the nose off one of his soft toys.
How daft can you get!
See you again tomorrow,
Scott
