Jake Shears is best known as lead singer of The Scissor Sisters, a New York disco/rock band who enjoyed massive worldwide success in the 2000s with two UK number one albums. Their 2004 eponymous debut album sold over 2.7 million copies and still remains one of the top 40 selling albums of all time in the UK.

Since the group’s hiatus was announced in 2012, Jake has been incredibly busy with writing his autobiography, starring in plays and writing his self-titled debut album, which was released last week.
