Food for thought, maybe!

If you’ve ever had a problem getting one of your offspring to make their own way in life, spare a thought for Paul and Coreen Kerley who have been forced to take out a second restraining order against their 24-year old son Matthew.

In spite of the first restraining order, Matthew made no less than 30 phone calls to his parents in a single day demanding money – some of them in the middle of the night.

He had already been sentenced to 32 weeks behind bars for harassment.

On one occasion he told his parents that he was going to a job interview and needed money so he could shave as his shaver had broken.

They paid up only for him to appear with a full beard.

To be fair it seems that his benefit money was being paid into his parents bank account and this issue has now been resolved – just as well since Southampton Magistrates have now banned him from contacting his parents for 5 years!

We also took time out to hear about the breakfasts offered by a cafe in Doncaster.

Yorkshire-men are well known for their healthy appetites which is probably why the Shepherd’s Place Farm Cafe have introduced their TERMINATOR 2 English breakfast.

For a mere £15 the TERMINATOR 2 breakfast includes no less than 65 items different items including 8 of everything that’s eggs, sausages, hash browns, black pudding slices, rashers of bacon,  tomatoes, a vat of baked beans, 12 rounds of toast and a mug of tea or coffee.

For those whose appetites are rather more conservative, you could opt for the TERMINATOR 1, which at £7.95 offers 4 of everything.

Since the cafe serves breakfast all day long there are plenty of opportunities for diners to try their luck – oh and by the way as well as a cafe, the farm also has a petting zoo, tea room and ice cream parlour which offers a 10 scoop treat.

To be perfectly honest, the mere thought of all that food being offered in a single setting would put me off.

See you again next week,
Scott
