The latest from the Lakeside Speedway Press Office…
LAKESIDE boss Kelvin Tatum hopes a return to home comforts can help them get back to winning ways against Mildenhall on Friday (8pm).
The Vortex Hammers will be back in action at the Arena-Essex Raceway looking to bounce back from two straight away defeats.
They claimed a hard-fought win over Belle Vue in their last Purfleet outing and will be on the lookout for three more Travel Plus National League points.
Talented teenager Tom Brennan has been booked to guest for Zach Wajtknecht, who is in top flight action for Swindon.
But with David Mason back from his lay-off, Tatum is backing them to overcome the Fen Tigers.
Said Tatum: “Last week was a tough week, but we’re unbeaten at home and desperately want to keep that going against Mildenhall on Friday.
“We know how important it is to keep winning our home meetings, and although we’re without Zach Wajtknecht we’re looking for three more points.
“We’ve got David Mason back, he says he’s raring to go, and Tom Brennan is flying at the moment and comes in as a guest.”
Mildenhall have drafted in Alex Spooner to cover for Jordan Jenkins, who is missing due to school exams.
There will be three heats of junior racing taking place at 7.30pm before the main meeting gets underway.
LAKESIDE: Tom Brennan, George Hunter, David Mason, Alfie Bowtell, Ben Morley, Jamie Couzins, Nick Laurence.
