A FOX ON THE FAIRWAY by Ken Ludwig

A hilarious romp that hits a hole-in-one with British comedy

Golf and sex are the only things you can enjoy without being good at them’

Join two rival country clubs as they tee off for their annual golf tournament – but expect a lot of bunkers along the way. Club presidents Henry Bingham and Dickie Bell place a hefty bet on the outcome of the game, including Muriel Bingham’s beloved antique shop. Henry regrets this wager when he discovers his star player has switched sides – but his luck returns when his new assistant, Justin, turns out to be a phenomenally good golfer. After that narrow escape, nothing can possibly go wrong… can it?

This British premiere of a charmingly whacky adventure about love, life and a man’s eternal affair with… golf is filled with headlong humour, exuberant personalities and romantic entanglements. King of comedy Ken Ludwig (Lend Me A Tenor, Crazy For You) pays tribute to the great English farces of the 1930s and 1940s. Golfing has never been so outrageous!

3 – 21 October

THE LADYKILLERS by Graham Linehan

A new production of the award-winning stage adaptation that brings the much-loved Ealing comedy to life.

When Mrs. Wilberforce puts a sign in her newsagent’s window advertising ‘A Room to Let’, she’s delighted when the mysterious Professor Marcus proclaims it perfect for rehearsing his unorthodox string quintet. She soon discovers that she is not making tea for a motley band of musicians, but harbouring a hardened gang of criminals and conmen planning the great Kings Cross Train Robbery!

Graham Linehan (Father Ted, The IT Crowd) has adapted this much-loved film for the stage, mixing madcap comedy and criminal capers to hilarious effect. As his master plan goes off the rails, and the bodies drop onto them, it begins to dawn on the Professor that, in Mrs. Wilberforce (and General Gordon, her extraordinary featherless parrot) he may have finally met his match.

From the motion picture screenplay by William Rose by special arrangement with Studiocanal and Fiery Angel Ltd, London.

27 October – 18 November
