If you’ve been glued to the goggle box recently watching the antics of a load of celebrities enjoying life in the jungle, maybe you’ve wondered just what some of the snacks they are required to imbibe, taste like. Well if so wonder no more as the Edible Insect Company, Grub has announced that it has secured its first listing for the Roasted Cricket snack range with the Whole Foods Markets chain.

Since launching the business two years ago they have been developing their range of innovative snacks which includes roasted crickets and cricket nut fudge, and they anticipate that their eagerly awaited insect cook book will be published in April, with the country’s first cricket-for-food farm for human consumption planned for an early 2016 launch.

Can’t wait!

Now believe it or not but Hockley was once a spa town rivalling the attractions of Bath and Royal Tunbridge Wells and this afternoon Margaret Mills took us back to those heady days.
