Christine then issued an appeal to help find her lost cat Lily. You can hear this at the end of the above recording.

  • Lily disappeared on or around Sunday 17 August from Stapleford Tawney RM4 1TA
  • She is microchipped and spayed – and very friendly, whilst also quite adventurous and a very good hunter.
  • She is ginger – distinctive swirly markings with ginger and light ginger (sandy) contrasts.  The tip of her tail is very light and could be seen as white at a glance (although she has no pure white fur at all).
  • Lily is a young cat –  will be 18 months old this w/e (4.10)
  • It seems increasingly likely that Lily explored a parked vehicle and accidentally had a ride to – well, who knows where…  Our house is opposite an old church (St Mary’s, Stapleford Tawney) where there is off-road parking.  Many people use this, whether to visit the church/church yard, as a stopping point for rambling, cycling, horse-box parking etc or as a general passing and parking place, including farm vehicles.  It was warm weather and Lily could easily have found an open window/boot/trailer/cab etcimg006
