On today’s, and for me, bonus edition of the show we heard about the Essex secondary school teacher just awarded £230k after slipping on a sachet of tomato ketchup. Well fair enough, if you’ve suffered financially by being unable to work as a result of the injury, you are entitled to receive compensation. But was this the case here? I ask this only because the claim for compensation was submitted 3 years after the incident and just 8 days before the deadline for a claim to be submitted. The full details have not been reported, but on the face of it you’d be forgiven for thinking that if the injuries were that bad, that the action might have been started with a little more haste!
On a lighter note we heard about the woman from Glasgow who has somehow been voted on TRIP ADVISOR as the 87th most popular attraction in the city. Classic!
Right I’ll see you all next week,
Scott
