On this our Christmas Eve edition of ONE-2-THREE we heard all about the Santa Claus who together with his female assistant came a cropper whilst riding his sleigh down a busy high street in a Polish town. Clearly both had been imbibing some Christmas cheer ahead of a scheduled appearance in the town centre. Unfortunately some cars sounded their horns causing their horse to rear up and catapulting the occupants of the sleigh into the road and landing both in hospital. To add insult to injury it now seems likely that the pair will be charged with being in control of a vehicle whilst under the influence. Sometimes life just comes and bites you when you are already down on the ground.
We also heard about the pilot of a commercial airliner who delayed take off for over two hours so that his sandwiches could be delivered from a Five Star Hotel. The passengers though, had to make do with the standard airline fare and suffered a not insubstantial delay into the bargain!
