What a difference a year makes..or two! Really can’t believe it’s been two years since I started out at Phoenix. That makes it roughly 104 shows and over 2000 songs! Unfortunately there was no cake but I decided to play some of my favourite tracks from over the past two years (including the Bob Dylan track which was the first song I ever played on Phoenix). A big thank you to all the bands I’ve either interviewed, played or had in to play live in the studio (too many to thank seperately). Also a special thank you to everyone at Phoenix for always making me feel welcome and being a very talented and friendly bunch! Finally thanks to anyone who has listened to the show, and for the people who have gone on to buy music by some of the artists I’ve played, you make every minute I spend working on these shows worthwhile.
On top of the playlist below I also put together a special birthday mix of some of the best electronic music of the last couple of years along with some old favourites. You can check out the mix on the link below (or on the new 33RPM Mixcloud page : https://www.mixcloud.com/33rpmphoenix/). I’ll be uploading more mixes in the future as companions to the show.
See you next week!
