FA Cup 2nd Round and 1st v 2nd in the Ryman Premier League

Another packed day of sport kept us busy between 4 and 6 this Saturday afternoon on Phoenix FM.

In the Ryman Premier League, top of the table Billericay travelled to Crown Meadow where they were beaten by 2nd in the table side Lowestoft in front of a crowd of 814. Hornchurch managed to pull a last-graspo victory at Leatherhead keeping them in third place in the table and an amazing record of 9 away wins from 10 matches. Aveley gained a point at Hendon where it finished a goal a piece.

In the Ryman Division One North Brentwood drew 1-1 against Needham Market who were the top of the table team at the start of the match. Brenwood took the lead in the second minute through Dean Green, Danny Bloomfield scoring the equaliser three minutes into the second half. Brentwood keeper Elliot Justham saved a penalty in the first half as well. Romford beat Great Wakering Rovers 1-0.
