Between the Lines – 28/04/2018

Don Broco kicked off this weeks music in an action packed show.

NATIONAL LEAGUE

It was the final day of the National League and as per usual all the games kicked off early. Below see the results of a dramatic final day.

  • Barrow Chester
    – Barrow were playing against already relegated Chester, although losing Barrow stayed up due to a Woking defeat against Play Off chasing Dover.
  • Boreham Wood Guiseley 1
    – Boreham wood secured the play offs and a 4th placed against relegated Guiseley.
  • Gateshead Leyton Orient 3
The Os ended the season in fashion against 17th placed Gateshead. Perhaps a sign of things to come for the Orient.
  • Macclesfield Town Dagenham & Redbridge 0
The Champions ended an impressive season with a win!
  • Maidenhead United Bromley 2
The real surprise of the day came at York Road as Play off hopefuls were dashed by mid-table Maidenhead United.
  • Maidstone United FC Halifax Town 0
  • Solihull Moors Eastleigh 4
  • Sutton United Aldershot Town 1
  • Torquay United Ebbsfleet United 1
Ebbsfleet hanged on to keep their play off spot, with only being 1 point in the play offs it was a nervy last day for United.
  • Tranmere Rovers Hartlepool United 2
Hartlepool climbed to 15th with an impressive away win against 2nd placed Tranmere.
  • Woking Dover Athletic 2
A win was needed for Woking survival hopes. In a match where Dover were down to 10 min fans of Woking will be disappointed they couldn’t capitalise on Barrow defeat at Chester. This game added drama to the final day as Dover scored a last minute winner.
  • Wrexham AFC Fylde 0
The Play Off for the Play Offs for Wrexham as a win for The Dragons (Wrexham) would see them climb from 10th into the Play offs, knocking AFC Fylde out of the Play Offs on the final day!

Formula 1

This week the Formula 1 reached round 4 which was staged in Azerbaijan. We watched on as Vettel posted a time of 1:41:498 which gave him his 3rd Pole Position in a row. The German was followed by Title chasing rival Hamilton, in 3rd Bottas. Two Red Bulls followed with Riccardo the quicker of the pair.

Premier League

LIVERPOOL 0 – 0 STOKE CITY

Apart from a Salah miss and a good point for Stoke not much to report back on from this weeks early game.
