On the day that New Zealand won the Rugby World Cup Final we celebrated another great World Cup victory in 1966 by the England Football Team. We learned that the price of a litre of petrol was around 6p in 1966 and listened to the top ten best selling singles of that year:-

3. Spanish Flea – Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass

4. Hold Tight – Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Tich

7. God Only Knows – Beach Boys

8. Mama – Dave Berry

9. A Groovy Kind of Love – The Mindbenders

10. Sunny Afternoon – The Kinks

In the second hour we had part two of Eighties Movie Hits, continued from last week.

Billy Ocean – When the Going Gets Tough (Jewel of the Nile)

ELO – All Over the World (Xanadu)
