First up tonight I was joined in the studio by local wrestlers Mitch “The Wolf” Davis and Phil Powers. Both Mitch & Phil will be in action in December – with Phil’s appearances in London and Stanford-le-Hope during the first weekend of the month, while Mitch will be joining the Dropkixx crew for matches in Laindon and Kent on the 17th and 18th respectively. There’ll also be plenty of chances to catch them in the new year – stay tuned to www.whatsonwrestling.com and www.dropkixx.com for news! Click above to listen back to them chatting about how they got into wrestling and Phil becoming a TV star on Channel 4’s Shipping Wars UK…

Next up it was the Phoenix FM debut of London’s Dead Natives (l-r Nick, Liam, Robbie). The foursome (also featuring bassist Adam) originally formed last year and after a pair of single releases during the last few months, are releasing a new EP, Something Strange, in January. They joined us just ahead of their first gig in Reading over the weekend, with more gigs to be announced soon – check out their Facebook and Twitter pages for news on those, while their releases to date can be found on Bandcamp. Click above to listen back to them chatting about the recording of their next EP and what they believe it means to be a ‘dead native’… Click below to see them playing live in the studio!
