First up tonight I was joined in the studio by Dan (above right) and Kyle from The Albino Peaches. After mainly spending the first half of the year recording the new material, the Harlow-based trio (also featuring Tommy on drums) are gearing up to release a new single, Motha, on August 31st, with plans to release two more singles later this year. August 31st is also the day you can catch them live at The Square in Harlow – stay tuned to their Facebook and Twitter pages for more news on live shows and releases.

Click above to listen back to the interview – once we’ve got the talk of lodges and caravans out of the way, find out about where in the world they’ve been getting some high-profile radio play!

Next up was Stevenage foursome Nova. Formed last year, they’ve recently released their first EP, the aptly-named Debut, and had a busy summer gigging. They can next be seen live this Saturday (15th) at the Cricketers in Stevenage, with plenty more gigs to come – find out more at www.nova-band.co.uk.

Click above to find out more about upcoming gigs, the unusual inspirations for their songs, and what the band were called before Nova. It’s quite a story in itself.
