First up tonight I was joined in the studio by Danfest organisers David Pankhurst and Shelly Morris (pictured above with sons Dan and Louee), just ahead of this year’s event at Stanford-Le-Hope’s Crooked Billet on July 18th. Now in its third year, Danfest is an all-day event featuring local acts and is in aid of raising funds for the National Autistic Society and Great Ormond Street Hospital. You can find out more about Danfest on Facebook. Click above to listen back to the interview, where we find out more about who’s booked for this year, and why young Dan is going to win every single argument from now on…

Next up it was the Phoenix FM debut of London’s Arch Rivals (l-r Arran, Rodrigo, Chris). The foursome (also featuring Gareth) formed at the beginning of this year and recently released their first EP, Something Wrong, which is now available on download and limited-edition CD. They can next be seen playing live at Islington’s O2 Academy on July 24th. In the meantime, click above to listen back and find out about Arran’s stage management tales, and their ‘friend of the stars’ producer among other things! Find Arch Rivals online at www.archrivals.co.uk.
