My Song of the Week – 13/02/2019

My song of this week is ‘Butterflies’ by Kacey Musgraves. Although this song was released close on a year ago, I heard it whilst watching the Grammys at the weekend and was reminded of how much I enjoyed the song – its been on repeat ever since! The song was the start of a new era for Musgraves, who began to add a tone of pop to her typical country sound. I love the song from a lyrical perspective, as well as Musgraves’ vocals, which I feel perfectly compliment the grace and elegance of the song.
