Essex businesswoman Colette Walls wins top award

Essex businesswoman Colette Walls is celebrating after she was crowned ‘Best Newcomer’ at the prestigious UK VA Awards 2022.

The annual VA Conference and Awards were held virtually on the 2nd March 2022 with the aim to highlight the achievements of Virtual Assistants in the UK.

The ‘Best Newcomer’ award caps a whirlwind 10 months for Colette, whose business qVirtual has gone from strength to strength.

A former legal EA, Colette founded qVirtual in April 2021 and works with small businesses as well as private individuals who need support with their personal affairs.

Colette, who lives in Brentwood, said: “I am absolutely thrilled the work that I’ve done over the past year with qVirtual has been acknowledged in this way. I’ve worked very hard to create a company that small businesses can use to fulfil their scale-up dreams in a cost-effective way.

“I recently suffered from a spinal fluid leak that saw me battle brain bleeds and other serious symptoms for a few years. To have fought back and won this award means absolutely everything to me.

“I’m on a bit of a mission to give businesses virtual solutions that transform careers and create time so that life is more balanced and productive. My main objective when I started a year ago was to have great client relationships and to be the go-to Virtual Assistant for high quality services. I can absolutely say that I’ve achieved this in this short space of time and am extremely proud of what I’ve created.”
