The charity was set up in 2020 with the aim of providing music therapy for children in hospital to help them express their feelings and emotions during what is a very difficult time. Since then, the charity has employed 3 music therapists who work within 4 hospitals across Hampshire which are the University Hospital Southampton, Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth, Royal Hampshire County Hospital, Winchester and Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital. It has also now become one of the chosen charities supported by Children in Need. From next year they will also be supporting children in Paediatric Intensive Care and the High Dependency Unit of Southampton’s Children’s Hospital. The song is available on Spotify, Apple Music and most many streaming platforms. All of profits from the song go towards George’s Rockstars.
The Charity have just released LETS MAKE MUSIC LOUD. “The song is in memory of our gorgeous boy George and is inspired by his journey with music therapy during treatment for childhood leukaemia. We lost George in 2019 and we wanted to help other children like him who spend far too much time in hospital. Our mission is to bring music to every child in hospital across the UK.”
