The Glastonbury Festival Sensation – Jacob Reddy

Always great to catch up with Indie/Pop singer, songwriter, JACOB REDDY. He is still only 18 with a good body of music works, catchy sing back tunes and energy hard to match. He has also just played Glastonbury! His music is making waves in all the right places, TV, Press, he is everywhere! I am pleased to say I was Jacob’s first ever interview a few years back and I am watching his success unfold. Funny the things you notice, he is always polite, he is always humble and genuinely uplifts people he talks to.

The start of 2023 saw Jacob release EWOOD LIGHTS for Blackburn Rovers FC (he filmed the official video there and his song is being played in the stadium every time Rovers are at home.

Check out his latest release, WHAT LIVINGS FOR

About Jacob – Jacob Reddy Music

INDEPENDENT MUSIC AND HOW TO SUPPORT IT

Why support it? It’s not just being creative and writing a song. Its recording costs, advertising, photographs, video, promotion. Even if you do all this yourself, you will still run into costs to get your music out there (streaming platforms, distribution). Transport to gigs, equipment, insurance. It all adds up. We don’t want making music to be just for people who can afford it.

LITTLE THINGS YOU CAN DO

  • Costs Nothing! Like their socials and make a comment (that really makes a difference to hear from a complete stranger that thinks your music is great!).
  • Go to a gig – most local gigs are from £5.00 -£15.00, some a even free!
  • Stream a song (Streams are great but you earn nothing unless your Ed Sheeran, however Streaming numbers count and get you noticed and on bigger playlists)
  • Buy a CD (no one has CD’s anymore but you’d be supporting an artist by doing so).
  • Buy merchandise (a t shirt, a hat, a mug)

DID YOU KNOW

World wide, over 100 thousand new songs are released, EACH DAY!

REMEMBER

Nearly every single musician I have met (I am one myself), write original music because they love to. Its certainly not for making money.
