Country Music Sensation – JACK BROWNING

I first met Jack seven years ago (I cant believe it’s that long). He was painting a portrait of Paolo Morena at The Bassment in Chelmsford whilst Paolo was singing live. Seven years later and Jack is an accomplished musician and his fine artwork is collected by many.

Jack is a humble guy, an old soul in a young body and producing music and fine art work of exceptional level.

It was interesting to talk to him about his music, art and we will be expecting great things from his album out later this year.

Enjoy the interview.

Jack’s latest release is called KEROSENE and its out now on all platforms.

INDEPENDENT MUSIC AND HOW TO SUPPORT IT

Why support it? It’s not just being creative and writing a song. Its recording costs, advertising, photographs, video, promotion. Even if you do all this yourself, you will still run into costs to get your music out there (streaming platforms, distribution). Transport to gigs, equipment, insurance. It all adds up. We don’t want making music to be just for people who can afford it.

LITTLE THINGS YOU CAN DO

  • Costs Nothing! Like their socials and make a comment (that really makes a difference to hear from a complete stranger that thinks your music is great!).
  • Go to a gig – most local gigs are from £5.00 -£15.00, some a even free!
  • Stream a song (Streams are great but you earn nothing unless your Ed Sheeran, however Streaming numbers count and get you noticed and on bigger playlists)
  • Buy a CD (no one has CD’s anymore but you’d be supporting an artist by doing so).
  • Buy merchandise (a t shirt, a hat, a mug)

DID YOU KNOW

World wide, over 100 thousand new songs are released, EACH DAY!

REMEMBER

Nearly every single musician I have met (I am one myself), write original music because they love to. Its certainly not for making money.
