I was joined by Essex based band, SQUARE WAVE The acoustic set was incredible (Braydon and Alex) so I cant wait to see the band as a three piece with Mike on drums. 2023 has been good so far for the band with major radio play, interviews and with more to come. Watch out in 2024 as this band are going to be massive.

I have been playing out the new track SWEET for the last few weeks and Radio X, BBC Introducing, Chelmsford Radio have to name a few have been leaping on the track too. Glad to say, I played it first 🙂 You’ll definitely want to check the guys out on their socials.

INDEPENDENT MUSIC – HOW YOU CAN HELP

I love independent music and support it as much as I can on my radio show. Its mixed in on a daily basis with charts/classic tracks. I introduce the song but then continue to play it over a week or two so you can hear it more than once.

There is so much talent out there releasing incredible songs so if you like the song, let the artist know, you could give a little love back by liking the artist pages on their socials.

Most musicians are releasing self funded music, there are no record contracts or management, its just the artist, writing, recording, gigging, then the push to have it heard, contacting radio stations, playlists, write ups, its not easy.
