Would you go all the way to Turkey for a cut and blow dry?

So I guess we’ve all heard of people trotting off to Turkey for cosmetic surgery and the like but would you go there to get your hair done?

Well believe it or not but seemingly one woman has admitted to nipping over to Turkey annually just to get her hair, dyed, cut and blowdried and what’s more she’s been doing this for the past 10 years.

The unnamed woman, who over here is a lash technician, says it’s really cheap – 400 Turkish Lira – about £20 plus a 200 lira tip so around £30 all up to which there’s the cost of the air fare and accommodation.

And what’s more her mother’s now getting in on the act to get dolled up.

But with air travel costs on the rise, can this really make sense?

Coming closer to home, in the second hour I was joined by Margaret Mills who reported on a conflagration which occurred in a church no less, and involved some striking bricklayers who were supposedly employed in the construction of the railway line.

This incident dates back to April 1839.

Hope to see you again next week,
