One good turn

Today we reported on the man who became seriously “unstuck” – or perhaps that should be “stuck” when trying to do a good deed for a friend.

The unfortunate subject of this report had hired a van to help a friend move into a new abode near Exeter only for the van to became involved with an argument with the entrance to the residential car park.

Of course if you find yourself driving an unfamiliar vehicle, its always a good idea to make sure you know what size it is, particularly if you are visiting an unfamiliar car park.

In this case the roof of the car park entrance became detached from the supporting pillars and landed clean on top of the van.

Unfortunately the owners of the car park were unable to offer any solutions and neither the insurance company nor van rental company were able to assist.

The AA couldn’t offer any solutions and the fire brigade suggested that the vehicle driver might have to pay for a crane to remove the roof which remarkably had suffered very little damage in he incident.

Oops!

Leaving that poor unfortunate to suffer alone, in the second hour I was joined once more by Margaret Mills who for a second consecutive week took another look at the life and times of Queen Mary, known to some as “bloody” Queen Mary.

Listen again here to what Margaret had to say this week: –

All being well I’ll see you again next week,
Scott
