This week, we were on air when the result of Scotland’s win against Oman meant they progressed to the Super 12 stage of the T20 World Cup for the first time in their history. Cricket Scotland kinda gave us permission to use Heaad Coach Shane Burger’s press conference ahead of the match to hear his thoughts.Amazing when news of the win came through!
We round up the news of Chennai Super Kings win in the IPL last weekend and the other group qualifiers as the T20 World Cup got underway straight after its conclusion. There’s news from the England camp as The Ashes nears and we ponder whether Ben Stokes will be a late addition to the squad? England has also announced a tour to the West Indies in 2022 as a thank you for their support in 2020 (Pakistan must be gnashing their teeth), but question whether the tour is an authentic test of the conditions or just a money-maker based on travelling English fans. Playing only at Barbados, Antigua and Grenada is the cricketing equivalent of a holiday to Spain to only visit English pubs serving English beer and full English breakfasts!!!
