WHAT IS FOREST BATHING? RUTH MORTIMER TELLS US MORE
https://www.facebook.com/forestcloudsnaturetherapy/
“Shinrin-Yoku”” or forest bathing is the practice of spending time in the forest for better health, happiness and a sense of calm. It is usually a slow and sensory walk through the forest and has been a preventative medicine since the 1980’s when the Japanese Forest Agency suggested the practice as a way to reconnect with nature using mindfulness, meditation, breathing and walking exercises.
Research has proven that spending time around trees can reduce blood pressure, lower stress, boost energy and boost the immune system.
This introductory session guided by Forest Clouds Nature Therapy will give you the chance to experience a recognized relaxation and stress management activity that’s growing in popularity all around the world.
£10.50 per person.
Places are limited so booking is essential.
Phone the centre on (01277) 232944 to book your place.
(Please ensure you wear comfortable clothing and footwear, this is a slow walk and can get colder than on a normal pace walk if the weather is cold or wet. Layers are a good idea, and bring waterproofs if rain is likely.)
This session is for adults only.
Those with mobility issues feel free to call the centre to discuss.
The profits from the forest bathing sessions at any Essex Wildlife Trust Visitor Centres go to the Essex Wildlife Trust so that they can continue to look after our woods and wildlife
