The voice is back!

I was joined today by local singer/songwriter, Glenn Godfrey.

Now poor Glenn suffered a real setback when, just as his career was beginning to take off, he fell victim to a very unpleasant throat injury.

As you can imagine, losing your ability to sing, when that is your chosen career must be heartbreaking so until he was able to sing again, Glenn concentrated on writing and learning to play the guitar.

But now he’s back on track and you can listen here to how Glenn coped with the problems and his plans for the future: –

Later in the show, we heard about the young mother up in arms after being told that she couldn’t take her baby into a cinema as it was screening a 15-rated movie.

Mrs Catherine Buckley was accompanying her sister, who had bought the tickets to see A STAR IS BORN, at Cineworld in Shrewsbury, said she initially thought staff were joking.

She said I know there have to be rules, but for restrictions to be applied to a babe in arms who’s asleep 18 hours a day and can only make out near shapes and so wouldn’t know what was happening  on the screen is crazy.

Mrs Buckley asked if that meant she was not allowed to watch the news at home.

Now there’s a thought!

See you next week,
Scott
