Tonight I was joined in the studio by Chicago blues performer Jim Kahr (left) with Paul (centre) & Phil from UBAS Records, who will be releasing Jim’s new album later in the year. Jim may not be a familiar name to many, but many of the names he’s worked with over the years will be, having recorded and performed with John Lee Hooker, Jimmy Rogers, Buddy Guy and Joe Cocker among many others. Jim is playing gigs in Kent and London on a short tour currently, but will be back soon for when the new album is out. Click above to listen back to some of his many stories of performing over the years (including how one chance encounter led to a spot on a high-profile tour the very next day!), and find out more about Jim’s story at www.jimkahr.com.
