What a great show! – Saturday 30 June

Not my words – I’m far to modest, but the words of dear Joanie, who contacted me in the studio with her first EVER email that she sent. In her mid 80s, she has decided to go online and her first email was to request Queen’s “Radio Gaga” on my show.

Turns out she is a new listener and she likes what she hears – so I am doubly chuffed that she choses to listen to PhoenixFM and that I was the recipient of her first ever email!

Thanks Joanie!

I really hope all of you enjoyed yesterday’s show – it was a blast and made extra special by my guest in the studio, Screen Writer, Author, Director, Actor and Hurricane Dodger – Elaine Spires (pictured).  An inspiring woman with a fabulous back story. Who after spending some years in Antigua has come back to our great county.

To find out about what Elaine’s up to, which is perfect for anyone looking to audition for theatre school, get into acting through her creative Drama projects, any new or experienced public speakers or anyone wishing to learn Spanish, visit her website on www.elainespires.co.uk

Tracks you would have heard played yesterday include:

The Detroit Spinners – Working My Way Back To You

Five Star – Brand New World

Alison Moyet – Invisible

Alcazar – Someday

Bucks Fizz – Are You Ready

The Blow Monkeys – It Pays to Belong

The Saturdays – Higher

George Ezra – Shotgun

Westlife – Hey Whatever

Bananarama – Preacher Man

Sophie Ellis Bexter – Heartbreak (Make Me a Dancer)

Plus much, much more.

Stay tined for the recording of the show which will be uploaded shortly!

In the meantime, I’ll see you next Saturday at midday for more great music, good chat and lots of laughs.

Have a good week!

Spencer
